carmelo anthony at glendale adventist academy

see the shots of him in the gym (at 2, 9, 18, 23, 29, 39, 46 seconds, etc)?  you know, with the white walls and the curved wooden beams coming from the roof?  the cougars gym covered in green and yellow pads in the background?  that’s my high school right there…

just sorta cool to see the place you grew up in some NBA commercial… i played my varsity games there, y’know!  now it’s where some nba star films his commercials?  shweet…

running with the bulls

so i ran with the bulls…
on wednesday, july 12, the police wouldn’t let me and rose into the street to run with the bulls, but we found some nice guys (javi, alex, and tilo) who let us sit with them on the barricade.  i started taking video about a minute after the fireworks went off - and you can see the people jumping up and down, looking for the bulls, and then they start to run!  as soon as the first group of bulls pass by, rose jumped through the barricade and started running, and the guard turned around as soon as the second group of bulls passed, and then i jumped in too!  so then the video goes shaky… after i stopped filming i walked into the bullring and then the people started running around me, they said more bulls were on their way!  3 or 4 more bulls ran thru but i was already safely on the side =)

here i am, walking my way into the bull ring, taking pictures of the people running past me…

once we got to the bull ring the i jumped over the edge immediately!  you can see what happens to the other people who stay inside the ring....

you can see tilo’s wounded arm, and you can’t really see javi’s wound under his left eye, but those are results of being in the bull ring!  i actually think javi’s wounds are from jumping the fence when the bull came nearby, which is also how the american got paralyzed on the first day of the bull run, not cuz he was gored, but because he jumped over the wall to get away from the bull and he landed on his neck!  anyways, i’m glad everyone was safe today and yesterday… these are only surface wounds....

i definitely have more pictures but it’s way past time for bed… i have to get up in a couple of hours to catch the 3 hour train to france!  bastille day, here i come!

weirdo car

we were walking back down the strip after riding the rollercoaster in new york, new york, and this truck in front of us was apparently so bored, stuck in traffic, that it was playing tricks with its cab… i was laughing so hard when i saw it.... enjoy!!

i knocked out his tooth!

this past Sabbath at church, griffin, cole, & connor were running around following each other, and just having a lotta fun.  i went over to the corner they were zooming thru and knelt down and said, “hey, come kiss me!” griffin ran to me first and kissed my cheek, then cole followed, and then connor ran up and kissed my shoulder =) it was so adorable!

then i heard griffin talking to ate becky and she was saying, ‘that happened when you kissed auntie kimi?’ and i wondered what was going on.  turns out… his tooth was so loose, when he came up to kiss me it knocked his tooth outta his head =) hahahahha… he was so proud o’ himself he showed all of his aunties/uncles and we all took pictures (you can see ate becky’s relatives in the background - they were visiting from oregon)

griffin’s the only one who calls me auntie kimi, by the way.  cole has started calling me “kimi”, thinking it’s hilarious and telling everyone i’m no longer his auntie.  i’ve started calling him “uncle cole” to get him back =) hahahaha… we’ll see how long that lasts.

connor, on the other hand, started calling me “auntie donna” and wouldn’t stop laughing!

indestructible tower of jenga

perry and i played jenga and then we decided just to play ‘building blocks’ instead.  we divided up the pile of blocks and tried to see who could build the higher tower.  i, of course, had the taller tower (11 heights and 8 widths tall), while perry kept on talkin’ smack and saying that his bigger’n’better tower was soon to come… but he stopped trying and decided instead to turn them into dominoes, creating this trail that would lead to the destruction of my towering building =) hahahaha… if you click on the picture you can see his attempt at destroying my tower… yes… only an attempt =) my tower stood tall and proud =)
